There were four puppies in this litter. There was one brown female, two black females and one black male. They were born on 13 December, 2008, and became available for adoption on 13 February when they turned 8 weeks old.
The puppies have been vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, and professionally groomed. All were given a clean bill of health by the vet.
Toy poodles have an expected life span of up to 18 years, and even longer.
They do not have pedigree papers, but are fantastic ‘pet-quality’ poodles. That simply means they cannot be entered into the competitive poodle shows. They have beautiful natures. They are definitely purebred poodles.

The Parents
Whoopi is the mother. She is a black toy poodle with white chin. Whoopi’s father was pure white.
Nelson is the father. He is a large toy poodle. He looks black, but the sun bleaches his coat brown.
Whoopi is younger than Nelson, and has lived with Nelson her whole life. They’re like a ‘married couple’.
Both parents are great family dogs. They have very friendly natures, and behave very well with even very young children.
What a Poodle Needs in an Owner
Poodles have lived as companions to people for centuries. They are happy in a home where there is a human to keep them company for most of the day. They are not very suitable for households where they would be left alone for many hours at a time.
Poodles are the ideal pet for young families, retirees, and telecommuters. They are faithful, loving companions.
Poodle coats needs regular brushing and grooming. They do not shed hair, which makes them ideal dogs for family members with allergies. Poodles need to be groomed every 6-12 weeks. They can grow their coats longer for winter, then be trimmed very short for the summer months.
Poodles are very energetic, active dogs, and need regular exercise to keep that energy under control. They are not a ‘fashion accessory’, as they are sometimes portrayed - and unfortunately sometimes treated.
People who own poodles often never own another type of dog breed from then on, because the poodle’s personality is so wonderfully unique. You could say they are ‘almost human’.
